Kos has written about, and run graphs that illustrate, the tremendous growth the site has recently experienced, but I've never seen him try to explain who the huge new crowd is, or where they all came from. They're not all new citizens, and they're not all newly released prisoners, so who are they? As Kos would say, it's easy! Our new members were until recently the Lee Greenwood adoring, George Bush loving, Rush Limbaugh listeners we saw booing Michael Moore and hating the Dixie Chicks. They are the very ones we at Dkos couldn't understand because they were all so blind to what was happening to our country. That, and a bunch of life-long non-participants who have been scared or fanaticised into action. Remember calling them sheeple?  Well, these particular sheeple are now stampeding the fucking cliff, and taking our party and country with them.

The media is up to something very fishy. Barack Obama, the man who represents everything the right-wing managed media has been working against all these years, is suddenly their little darling who can do no wrong. What happened to those who were just weeks ago calling him Barack Bin Laden, or Hussein Obama? Just why is he now getting the free pass? Who made the decision for this all too obvious shift in tactic by the MSM?

PBS is doing a documentary entitled "Heritage or hate? The controversial display of the Confederate symbols" The white southerners shown defending the use of the 'rebel flag' were so convincing that I've decided to run right out and buy a few. One for me and a one for the first black guy I run into tomorrow. I mean, it's only about heritage, right?

Or that's what one might come away with if you are to believe your eyes.

The BBC recently collected about 312 trillion internet 'clicks' and kept nearly a billion television viewers tuned in with their many articles and newscasts about nutcase Nobel Prize winning scientist Dr. James Watson and his insanely racist remarks in which he claimed that "Africans were less intelligent than white people".  My feeling about these reports was 'good, the BBC is trying', but then today arrived, and the latest crop of news stories heralded by the BBC include some shockingly stupid and racist projections and insinuations. I'm talking about the kind of insinuation made when you place your ex-girlfriends picture next to the word whore. No one can say you said it, but you did.

I'll bet that no one reading this has ever once told someone who failed when trying to do something good that their failure was a "stain on their record". No decent, sane person alive would do such a thing, and that's why I am so upset over CBS and the AP for taking such a bizarre and slanted view of Hillary's first brave effort to give us universal health care.

Is Harry's plan ENOUGH? Can we hang our collective hats on the specific rule or law that Reid is counting on to keep Bush at bay during recess?

According to U.S. News magazine
"Reid will call the Senate into session just long enough to force the [president] to send his nominees who need confirmation to the chamber." Reid's plan is to "hold a quickie 'pro forma' session every 10 days, tapping a local senator to run the hall.

BUT, will every 10 days actually be "JUST LONG ENOUGH"???
